Andrews Charitable Trust (ACT) and Andrews Property Group, in partnership with 1625ip, are using their shared expertise to give young care leavers an affordable roof over their heads and support in finding work and becoming independent. ACT have pledged funding for 50 properties over 50 years for care leavers who are ready to access employment opportunities.

1625ip are delivering the first of these properties.

In addition to high spec flats and support to engage with employment or training opportunities within 6 - 12 months of being in the project, young people will also have the opportunity to engage with community mentors and work experience opportunities with Andrews. Young people will be supported by dedicated staff from 1625ip's Future 4 Me project.

Learning and Work support:

  • Access to activities such as sport and creative opportunities in music and the arts.
  • Mentoring.
  • Independent living skills training such as budgeting, pre-tenancy training and cooking.
  • Volunteering opportunities.
  • In partnership with ACT we will work to enable young people to access work experience opportunities with Andrews, if desired.
